The history of Jackson Gore begins with the future.  Okemo Mountain Resort becomes a true 4-seasons resort with a recreation center, tennis courts, a conference facility that can accommodate 500 guests, kid’s activity center with hiking and biking.  It’s the future…it’s NOW and Jackson Gore is spearheading the way!

When the owner’s of Okemo, Tim and Diane Mueller, decided to expand the skiing facilities, it was to the north they looked.  They obtained a long term lease on the adjacent mountain and purchased the land at the bottom to accommodate the Jackson Gore Inn and future resort.  First came the skiing, with a planned total of 30% more skiable terrain and trails that are steeper and longer than already existed.  Of course 100% snowmaking and superior grooming is an Okemo standard.

As the trails were being cut, plans and permits for the Jackson Gore Inn were being developed.  All the trails would lead down to a “village” with the Inn being the flagship of the area.  Learn all about the many amenities available at the Inn.

Of course an Inn does not make a village and in the plans were another recreation center. The Spring House is set to open this winter, with indoor lap pool, kid’s pool and slide, racquetball and basketball and a complete exercise facility.  Also part of the future that is happening now is the Ice House.  A covered Ice Rink that will double as tennis courts during the summer months.

For those of you who have been to Jackson Gore lately, you would have seen the construction of the Adams House. Additional ownership possibilities available, the Adams House will be opening during this coming winter.  In addition, construction has begun on the Bixby House. With opening scheduled for winter 07/08, this is the first whole ownership development at Okemo since Solitude.

But all this is just the beginning to what is planned for the future.  Eventually there will be a heated gondola that will take you literally a few steps from the Jackson Gore Inn to the top of Okemo peak. For the golf enthusiasts there will be a 9-hole executive course, again just steps from the Inn. Add to this the conference center and additional residences and you have the new Okemo Mountain Resort…a true 4-season playground for the entire family.

You and your family can be part Okemo’s future…let the folks at First Tracks Realty know that you would like ownership information or take a look at available property in the Okemo region.
